Netbeans Drupal Devel Tool Development Update

I just pushed out build 2.0.5, which is still a beta status of NDDT. Mostly fixes went in to address issues 12 and 13.

There is one new, minor feature. In the ApiTree window you now have a button to reload:

First Beta Release Of Netbeans Drupal Development Tool Version 2

I just pushed out the first beta release of version 2 of the Netbeans Drupal Development Tool tonight. The source is here and you can grab the NBM here.

Netbeans Drupal Devel Tool Version 2.0-bleeding. Now with Drush Support (UPDATED)

I just pushed out the initial commit of the 2.0 version of the Netbeans Drupal Development Tool (NDDT). This marks the start of Drush integration into the tool. This is a very early release and currently Drush support only works on Windows. I will have Linux and Mac support built in within the next week. UPDATE: I just pushed out a new commit with Linux and Mac support.

Netbeans Drupal Devel Tool Version 1.5.1 Released - Works On Netbeans 7.0+

Last week I released the 1.5 version of the Netbeans tool, which saw some major changes. You can read about the new features and catch a screencast of it here. Today I am releasing a minor version upgrade, 1.5.1. There are no new features in this, but it does remove the PhpModule dependency from the module, which means it will now work on Netbeans 7.0+ and shouldn't break on every new build of Netbeans, unless they make a major API change.

Netbeans Drupal Devel Tool Version 1.5 Final Released

I just pushed out the final on version 1.5 of the Netbeans Drupal Devel Tool to github. This new version requires Netbeans 7.1-beta or greater to run, due to editor and PHPModule dependencies. Once 7.1-final is released, I will push the new version into the master branch. You can grab the new version here. I've also got the nbm file attached down below.

This version marks a lot of changes in the UI and more customization options. Instead of going through them all, I decided to put a screencast together:

New Drupal Development Tool For Netbeans

After a couple of years of recompiling the old Drupal module for Netbeans, I finally decided to take some time and make a new module. I wasn’t the author of the original module and it hasn’t been maintained in years. On top of that the module only works for Drupal 6 and I wanted something for Drupal 7.

Happy Developing!

ANNOUNCING: Drupal 7 Ruble For Aptana Studio 3

Categories:

Lately I have been growing tired of NetBeans. While the IDE still remains strong, the lack of support for the Drupal module has left me a little frustrated. I have been keeping it updated for the public when NetBeans releases new versions, but this is about the limit of my knowledge when it comes to NetBeans development knowledge.

I also found myself switching between NetBeans and Eclipse more and more. Eclipse offers far more features, like the Remote System Explorer, which I find an invaluable tool.

Drupal Netbeans Plugin Rebuilt Against Version 7

The next version of the Netbeans IDE once again breaks the Drupal plugin. It was just a simple matter of rebuilding the plugin against the latest module dependencies to once again get it working. You can download it in the file attachments section below.

UPDATE 2/11/10:

The latest update in Netbeans 7 beta once again broke the plugin. I have rebuilt it again against the new dependencies. Download the file below and you should be fine.
